Apogee cameras have cooled sensors and are therefore suited to applications where low noise and relatively long exposure times are required.

The Alta series supports a very wide variety of front illuminated, back illuminated, full frame, frame transfer and interline transfer sensors with high quantum efficiency and low dark current noise.

The Alta series can accommodate very large format sensors up to 39M pixels and has dual digitization (both 12 and 16bit digitization) in every camera.  Sensors may be cooled to 60 degrees below ambient in a variety of housings with low vibration fan cooling (that can also be intelligently controlled).

All Alta cameras come complete with a very high specification electro mechanical shutter for accurate exposure control with longevity.

Cameras are available with Ethernet or USB output.

Typical applications include; chemiluminescence and Fluorescence in life sciences, colorimetry, Fundus imaging and astronomy.
