Specific illumination for detection and highlighting of edges and/or surface defects such as scratches or engraving. Low angle barlights offer darkfeld illumination from one direction highlighting scratches and defects in one orientation. These lights are usually positioned close to the object although they may be used at longer working distances if the geometry is correct. They are available in a range of sizes. Best performance when the product has a shiny surface.
