Euresys now provides compatibility of its Coaxlink frame grabbers with AMD’s DirectGMA technology.
Using AMD’s DirectGMA, the Coaxlink cards can now transfer image data directly to GPU memory. DirectGMA eliminates unnecessary system memory copies, lowers CPU overhead, and reduces latency, resulting in significant performance improvements in data transfer times for applications using the AMD FirePro W5xOO and above, and for all AMD FirePro S series products.
DirectGMA compatibility is available from Coaxlink driver revision 4.5. A simple program showing how to use this feature is available in the installation package.
