The FLIR A615 is a compact and affordable thermal imaging camera, with GigE Vision interface for ease of integration.
Camera Features
This camera uses microbolometer sensors and can make temperature differences as small as 50mk clearly visible.
A615 has a high resolution of 640×480 pixels. This provides more accuracy and shows more detail even at longer distances.
Temperature range options; -20 to +150°C or +100 to +650°C or +300 to +2000°C
As standard this comes with a built in 25° lens with motorised focus and autofocus. Optional lenses are available
GigE Vision interface and linear output
The camera outputs a real-time 16bit linear temperature, ensuring you can make reliable non-contact temperature measurements/comparisons with software such as MVTec’s HALCON as supplied by Multipix Imaging or any 3rd party software support GigE Vision.
What is a microbolometer sensor?
The microbolometer sensor is an uncooled thermal detector operating in the wavelength range of 7.5-14_m . When infrared radiation in this range hits the sensor, it changes the properties of those pixels and the result is an image representing the temperature changes in that field of view.
Applications using FLIR thermal infrared cameras:
Automation ie automotive and electronics industry, where thermal data is critical
Process Control ie measuring temperatures and/ or determining the shape of certain products on a production line
Hot spot detection ie fire prevention
Intelligent Surveillance ie automated perimeter alarms
