ProPhotonix have announced an extension to the popular COBRA Slim Series with the introduction of COBRA RGB, a new multispectral line light.

Developed utilising Chip-on-Board technology, COBRA RGB delivers high intensity and unrivalled uniformity. In addition, COBRA RGB has Ethernet control as standard allowing users to remotely tailor the colour of the illumination to maximise contrast in their specific machine vision application.

COBRA line lights may now be configured with up to 3 different wavelengths (of any available spectrum); including Red?Green?Blue (RGB), Ultraviolet (UV) and Infra?Red (IR) as examples of available configurations.

RGB Line lights are frequently used in print inspection applications. In addition, certain machine vision applications utilise RGB and other multi?wavelengths when sorting different types of products utilising the same vision system, for example sorting different types of produce in the food industry. Based on the established COBRA Slim platform, COBRA RGB is a modular product available in any length up to 5m, in 100mm increments. COBRA RGB also incorporates a field adjustable lens position allowing users further flexibility to optimise the optical output for their specific application plus a strobing function providing up to five times the product’s standard intensity.

Key Features:
  • Up to 3 wavelengths available
  • Wavelengths from UV to Visible to IR
  • Extreme brightness and high uniformity
  • Modular: available in any length
Key Applications:
  • Food sorting
  • Print inspection
  • Currency inspection
