Machine Vision Technology Day draws a crowd

MultiPix Imaging, held their annual technology day entitled “Machine Vision – Another Dimension” on March 24 at the Heritage Motor Museum in Gaydon.

The venue hosted over 90 guests as they benefited from first-hand machine vision technology information being presented by leading vision companies including Basler, MVTec, Panasonic, SICK, and FLIR. The presentations were accompanied by an exhibition area where several live demonstrations also featured the latest vision products.

“We are delighted by the number of delegates that have attended today”, said Julie Busby, Sales Director. “We have worked very hard to ensure todays presentations are focused on educating and are using real-life applications as examples. The delegates are being given a great deal of information today and feedback suggests it’s been a great success”.

One such product on display was the Panasonic Vision P400 Software, its easy-of-use was demonstrated as the software detected certain feature on PlayMobile figures as they rotated on a turntable. The software includes first-rate algorithms for almost all typical inspections such as measuring, contour checking, part identification, feature extraction, 2D-code reading and many more. You can access Vision P400 with customised user interfaces with the help of ActiveX or if your inspection task cannot be handled by the numerous out-of-the box algorithms, the UDC (user-defined checker) allows you to implement your own inspection routines e.g. based on the well-known MVTec HALCON library. Following on from the Technology Day Multipix currently have a ‘Starter Kit’ on offer which includes the Vision P400 Software, a 2MegaPixel GigE camera, lens, cables, etc all you need to get a project started.
