IO Industries Redwood Camera designed to utilise the fastest CMOS Sensors

The new Redwood Camera Series from IO Industries is designed with some of the fastest high-resolution CMOS image sensors available today.  These cameras push the boundaries for high-resolution industrial and scientific imaging tasks, wide area observation, virtual reality content creation and special effects.

The 654G71 model features the all-new Gpixel GMAX3265, a 35mm-format 65.4MP global shutter sensor. At full 9344 x 7000 resolution, using the high-speed 10-bit ADC mode, frame rates can be up to 71fps (8-bit output) or 57fps (10-bit output). Using the high dynamic range 12-bit mode, frame rates up to 31fps (8/10/12-bit output) are possible.  The 3.2um square pixels use low-noise charge-domain global shutter technology for artefact-free motion imaging, as well as light pipe technology for excellent quantum efficiency, high shutter efficiency and broad angular response.  Both monochrome and colour camera models are available to suit a variety of applications.

Coming soon is the 447X52-CX model, based on the 44.7MP ON Semiconductor XGS 45000 sensor, again available in both colour and monochrome, offering 8192H x 5468V @ 52fps over a quad CoaXPress 2.0 copper interface. The XGS 45000 sensor’s 3.2um square pixels feature global shutter technology for artifact-free motion imaging.  The CoaXPress 2.0 interface enables 50Gbps total throughput over long, flexible, and low-cost coaxial cables. The camera is available with a variety of interchangeable lens mount options including F-mount, M52 x 0.75, and Active EF-mount. The thermally-optimised mechanical design allows for use across a wide range of ambient temperatures and the small cross-section allows easy installation into environmental enclosures.
