  1. Introducing the NEW Allied Vision ALECS Open Smart Camera Range

Comments Off on Introducing the NEW Allied Vision ALECS Open Smart Camera Range

Multipix Imaging is excited to announce the addition of the Allied Vision ALECS Open Smart Camera range to our portfolio — a next-generation platform designed to empower developers, systems integrators, and vision engineers to deliver powerful, custom machine vision and AI solutions.

    What Makes ALECS Special?

The ALECS Open Smart Camera redefines the concept of smart cameras by combining standardised, high-quality imaging hardware with an open, developer-friendly software platform — giving you maximum flexibility and performance for industrial vision applications.

    At its core, ALECS integrates:

    • Allied Vision’s proven Alvium camera platform, trusted for image quality, reliability, and future-proof performance.
    • A powerful NVIDIA® Jetson Orin™ System on Module (SoM) for on-board AI, machine learning, and advanced image processing.
    • A Linux-based open software environment with a comprehensive Board Support Package (BSP) that enables you to develop and run your own custom applications directly on the device.

    Open Platform, Unlimited Possibilities

Unlike traditional smart cameras with fixed, pre-packaged software, ALECS is an open smart camera — giving your team full control over what runs on the platform. Develop tailored applications for tasks such as:

    • Object detection
    • Classification and tracking
    • Machine learning and deep learning workflows

This freedom lets you match the camera to your application requirements — without being limited by off-the-shelf software constraints.

    Built-In Benefits for Vision Developers

The ALECS platform offers a compelling combination of performance and usability:

    • Fast time-to-market with accelerated design-in and prototyping workflows.
    • Industrial robustness — housed in an IP67-rated enclosure ideal for demanding environments.
    • High computational power from NVIDIA Jetson Orin SoM, enabling sophisticated on-camera processing.
    • Pre-installed support for Euresys Open eVision libraries, with a free trial to begin development immediately.
    • Comprehensive Board Support Package including Linux and Vimba X-based support for safe camera states and reliable integration.

    Flexible Model Options

Models in the ALECS range include:

    • Alecs LXB-G1-510m/c — featuring a 5 MP Sony IMX548 sensor capable of 81 fps, ideal for high-speed and precision imaging tasks.
    • Alecs LXB-G1-1242m/c — featuring a 12 MP Sony IMX545 sensor with 40 fps, delivering high-resolution performance for detailed inspection.

Both configurations pair robust imaging with powerful on-board processing, enabling comprehensive vision system design without external PCs.

  2. Kaya Vision Release the Iron927 & Iron411 – 2 NEW Advanced Additions to Their Product Line

Comments Off on Kaya Vision Release the Iron927 & Iron411 – 2 NEW Advanced Additions to Their Product Line

Multipix Imaging is excited to announce the addition of two powerful new industrial vision cameras from KAYA Vision’s Iron Series: the Iron 927 and the Iron 411. Both models deliver cutting-edge performance, robust industrial design, and advanced imaging capabilities — ideal for demanding machine vision and inspection applications.

    Iron 927 — Ultra-High-Resolution CoaXPress Camera

The Iron 927 sets a new standard in high-resolution machine vision imaging. Featuring an impressive 104.9 megapixel global shutter sensor, this camera captures exceptionally detailed imagery at up to 46 fps, making it ideal for large-scene inspection, precision measurement, and scientific imaging workflows.

    Key technical highlights include:

    • 104.9 MP resolution with Sony IMX927 global shutter sensor
    • CoaXPress v2.1 interface with up to four links for high bandwidth data transfer
    • Up to 46 fps at 8-bit output, with support for 10- and 12-bit data formats
    • Full image processing suite including LUTs, defect pixel correction, and flat-field compensation
    • Rugged design with optional IP67 protection and extended industrial operating temperatures
    • GenICam compliant control and extensive I/O options for trigger and synchronization integration

The Iron 927’s combination of high pixel count, efficient power usage (?14 W), and ruggedised build make it an excellent choice for demanding inspection systems, virtual reality capture, perimeter vision, and large-format imaging tasks.

    Iron 411 — Ultra-High-Resolution Rolling Shutter Camera

Also joining the Iron lineup is the Iron 411, a 151 megapixel rolling shutter camera designed for ultra-high-resolution imaging where extreme detail is paramount. With a Sony IMX411 sensor and robust CoaXPress v2.1 connectivity, this camera is ideal for flat panel inspection, traffic imaging, photogrammetry, and any application that benefits from extraordinary pixel density and image quality.

    Stand-out features include:

    • 151 MP resolution (14192 × 10640) with large 3.76 µm pixels
    • CoaXPress v2.1 interface with support for high-throughput data links
    • Multi-bit output (up to 16-bit) for rich tonal detail
    • Rolling shutter with finely controlled exposure down to 10 ?s
    • GenICam compliance for seamless software integration
    • Low power consumption (?14 W) and rugged industrial design

The Iron 411 delivers outstanding dynamic range (>81 dB) and quantum efficiency, making it well-suited for advanced industrial inspection, scientific imaging, and any system requiring large-scale, high-resolution capture.
